With the announcement that this year's
Diva Search Contest will be held on
SmackDown as well as RAW for the first
time ever, it was only fitting that
Ashley (the 2005 Diva Search winner) showed
up as a new SmackDown Diva on the June 2
edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Ashley
provided some guest commentary for a
match between fellow Divas Kristal and
Jillian. After the match, Michelle McCool
came to the ring and informed everyone
that Ashley wasn't the only new Diva on
SmackDown. Ashley didn't seem to take too
kindly to McCool's brash style, but only
time will tell what happens between the
new SmackDown Divas.
Ashley is a former gymnast who has
experience in front of the camera. And
that experience and moxie paid off in a
big way when the beautiful blonde won the
2005 RAW Diva Search. Ashley has
hosted a number of “Wild On”
shows on the E! Channel, and has also
posed for Stuff, FHM and multiple
swimsuit calendars. Ashley is a big fan
of rock & roll, fishing, boating and
motorcycles. She also grew up in a
wrestling family as her brother, dad and
uncle all competed in the sport
After having a blast washing Mr. McMahon's
limo at SummerSlam with some of the other
bikini-clad Divas, Ashley had a rought
first night on RAW when recently-traded
Divas Torrie and Candice pushed her
around.
Ashley has hosted a number of
“Wild On” shows on the E!
Channel, and has also posed for Stuff,
FHM and multiple swimsuit calendars. Although
Ashley is a relative newcomer to action
in the squared circle, it hasn't taken
the feisty Ashley long to start making
major strides as a grappler.
After facing a number of attacks at
the hands of Candice, Torrie and Victoria,
Trish Stratus returned from an
injury and helped RAW's newest Diva.
She took Ashley under her wing, and
before long she was holding her own in
the ring.
The duo picked up a tag team victory over Victoria
and Torrie at Unforgiven in 2005, but the
rivalry would not die. Ashley was
able to eliminate one of her big
rivals, Victoria, at New Year's
Revolution to become the winner of the
first-ever Bra & Panties
Gauntlet Match.
With excitement and determination
that is only matched by her good looks,
there's no telling how quickly Ashley
will be able to climb the ranks of the
Women's Division and become a Champion. |
