The Chronicles of Robert Moses beach...

So I ended up going down to the beach yesterday. It's way early in the season to go, still a bit chilly but I always feel happier when I go down there. I used to go down in the winter even with snow all over the sand.
Anyway, I always people watch when I go down there, especially when its not Summer. Most people that are there are similar to me, not trying to get a suntan or do your average summer beach stuff, I think they just feel good from being there. Theres something about the sound of the ocean and just being at the end of the earth that is soothing.
I saw this old woman walking by herself and I always find my self asking how did she get there, how did this persons life go to bring them to this beach crossing me on the boardwalk at this very moment. It's sort of sad, it reminded me of how quickly life passes you by. I think everyone at that beach that day was sort of unique, almost everyone was alone. I guess it's a good place to go gather your thoughts.
While I was walking around I was thinking of all the times I had been there before growing up and how much my own life had changed and what had happened to me to get me on that boardwalk at that very moment. It made me appreciate how far I'd come and remember how hard it once was and how quickly life can take a turn for the better. I thought alot about my best friend Kristin that was killed when we were in high school. It seems like yesterday she was still here but I do miss her. I haven't talked about her to anyone in years. It's so crazy how it feels like only yesterday that I got out of high school. It's scary how time flies.
Anyway, the point of this never ending rant is to remind you guys that life goes by quickly, use your time wisely, and don't get stuck in a rut because things can change overnight while youre least expecting it.
Leave it to me to ruin my thought with some corny saying like stuck in a rut...haha. I do that all the time don't I? I think it's cuz of my mom. She uses corny old school sayings all the time, but usually messes them up, it's kinda cute actually.
