THE Blog- Kuwaiti edition WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! I have internet it Kuwait!!! ARe you serious!!! So frigging cool. I'm so happy, I feel a bit closer to home being able to come see my myspace friends on my page and read your comments, thank you for them by the way, I'm so glad I get to blog. It's actually going on my 3rd day here but its been INSANELY busy. It's 4 in the morning here and no I wasn't out partying Kuwaiti styly I just keep waking up in the middle of the night cuz my body clocks all whacked. You guys have the first edition of what its like over here, before anyone else. This is my first contact back home. I figured I'd hit yall up first. We got here 2 days ago and Kuwait is such a rad city, I had no idea. Way Americanized, I mean hey they have internet, redbull, they even have a friggin Starbucks, damn that place is EVERYWHERE. But more than that, its real historical, we were actually on the same road Saddam Hussein drove in when he invaded this country, sick right! And you can still see all the destroyed buildings, things are much better here now but def interesting to see. never thought I'd be on the same highway Saddam Hussein was on. Weird. Yesterday we went to 2 HUGE bases. We met practically every soldier at each base, I've had the awesome pleasure of working with Jimmy Hart, who I absolutely love, I have never met a nicer person on this earth, and Ron Simmons who in my opinion is one of the coolest guys around. I'm so glad we got to come with them, not to mention I feel safe whenever Ron's around, he's no joke. Hi, muscles anyone? And also Maria, it would be way different if she werent here. Weve been hanging out lots, and shes been awesome, we took a ton of pics on her camera and shes going to give me copies. BECAUSe, well, genius over here was so worried about making sure my clothes were in the right suitcases at the arena Tuesday that I forgot I left my camera charger in the wall. :o( It's all good though, we also have an awesome photographer over here with us named Henry who is going to burn me a disc of all these wicked shots, can't wait to post em! Props to Henry for sure. I will be wearing a hat or bandana in most because, well, lets jsut say my hair didn't exactly turn out the color I wanted it to before I left, I had so much to do though and notime to fix it. Ahhh maybe I'll just wear it out tomorrow, I have to warn you though, it may blind you. Huge thank you to Tamran for keeping the site running while Im travelling and the slide show came out soooo good, I had goosebumps. I picked that song to thank you guys, it's called Because of you by Unwritten Law. Great band, not my fave song by them but the words just fit so perfectly. Anyway, so I'm sitting here in the dark on my laptop Matty got me for Christmas, I'm soooo glad he got me this, otherwise I'd be outta luck right now, business centers closed and I have lobbycall at like 6 am. Going to 3 bases tomorrow. We've met soooo many soldiers and they are soooooo happy to see us. There was one soldier who got us set up and ready to go to the other base and I can't remember his name but he said he had a myspace and was going to befriend me, he was awesome, I was eating an avocado at the mess hall and he I guess noticed because he packed a to go box for Jimmy Ron and Maria and I and threw an avocado in there, I needed it later, we didn't have time to go stop and eat so thank you so much Sir!!!! Hopefully we'll see him on here. I have like once cell left in my camera battery so I'm going to try to snap a couple shots tomorrow and upload em onto the site so you can get the first look at what its been like over here for us. I hope you guys are doing great. I'm safe and sound. Just wanted to drop a line to let you know. Guess how hot it was yesterday....no.....no....wrong again... 120 DEGREES!!! It's nuts! I got tan in like 5 minutes. Too bad its a farmers tan. hehe. OH! I got to get in this huge tank yesterday and cock this gun and it was massive, I didn't actually fire it but it was WAY cool. I can't believe I'm up right now, I really gotta go back to sleep we have a massively long day tomorrow, so many soldiers to meet so little time. I suppose I should try, I don't feel sleepy though.
